If you are used to traveling on public vehicles and staying in hotel rooms, an RV vacation can seem like a breath of fresh air. Airline travel is, on the whole fairly well organized and efficient since the airways allow for free competition, the standard of service needs to be kept at a certain level otherwise competitors will take over. Nevertheless, there are still problems in the air, and many occasions where flights have to be grounded and people are left stranded for days at a time. Who wants to be bothered by that?

Traveling on any public vehicle leaves you at the mercy of the service provider, and there are so many things which can go wrong. With your own RV motor home, you have none of these problems. You have complete freedom over choosing your own route, and you have the ability to stop and take a side trip whenever and wherever you choose. When you actually arrive at your destination, the freedom available to you becomes even more apparent. Hotel rooms can obviously vary in standards, and the standard of service varies even more. With your own motor home, you can sleep in your own bed yet still wake up to changing scenery every morning.
These recreational vehicles give you the best of both worlds. You can travel the country, and even further, seeing everything there is to see, while at the same time retaining all of the familiar comforts of home. RV vacations take some time to plan and organize, but the rewards are definitely worth it. If you are traveling as a couple or with the same family members every time, it will be well worth your while thinking about buying your own RV outright. This way, you will not even have to keep loading a rented one up with your stuff every time you travel.
To get the very best out of your RV vacation, do a bit of research into the RV parks you can stay at. While they all offer the same basic facilities, there are some which are more modern and have more to offer. You can often play golf or other sports, get access to health and beauty treatments, or dine in style at the park itself. If you research the area thoroughly as well, you may find more attractions than you realized near to the places where you can stay. You can get an enormous degree of satisfaction from a well planned RV vacation.
